PURPOSE: To house a fused material in a confine of a gas turbine engine without applying a marked weight on the gas turbine engine. CONSTITUTION: A method for containing molten materials and titanium, and titanium alloy within the confines of the turbine engine. The method includes the step of first applying a bond coating 52 to the inner surface of a substrate 48 of the outer compressor casing. The bond coating 52 is then plasma oversprayed with a non-reactive, thermally insulative ceramic top coating 54.
