PURPOSE:To almost avoid a hit due to zone switching and to relive the load of an exchange by allowing a mobile terminal equipment to measure the electric field strength of a received radio wave so as to select a communication zone. CONSTITUTION:Plural speech channels (a) are in existence and each is formed to be 8-channel time division multiplex configuration and a control channel (b) is a time division multiplex configuration for 9 base stations. Then a channel (CH) 1 of a time slot T1 is used for reception and a channel 2 of a time slot T2 is used for transmission for the communication and a control channel is received for a time slot T3 equivalent to the channel 3. A B3 is received by the control channel in the timing of the frame and a B2 is received in a succeeding frame and then a B1 is received. Thus, a signal received by a channel of a time slot T3 different from 1st and 2nd time slots T1, T2 is measured during communication and the result of measurement is used for zone switching during talking.
