<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electrical connector system new and improved so as to be used along with a header connector for a video display tube yoke. CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a header 18 fitted to a yoke, and the header 18 includes a body 20, and terminal pins 22a, 22b protruded from the body 20 and terminated at a lead 71 from the yoke. Connectors 32, 72 are fitted to the header 18. The connectors include insulating housings 34, 82, and the housings have a plurality of terminal receiving cavities 42, 84 and pin receiving passages 48, 86 communicated with the cavities. Terminals 60, 74 are received in the cavities. The respective terminals include terminal parts 62, 76 terminated at wire conductors 36, and trap parts 68, 80 aligned in one of the pin receiving passages so as to capture one of the solid terminal pins of the header. Latches 50 are provided between the header and the connectors and held in the fitted state.</p> |
