PURPOSE:To provide the compact processor in which the phenomenon of activity reduction or deactivation of the developer due to the prerinsing solution, that is associated with the miniaturization of the immersion developing type printing plate processor, can be inhibited from occurring and with which a reduction in the required installation space can be attained. CONSTITUTION:This processor has three tanks, namely the developing tank 21, the prerinsing tank 31 and the finisher tank 41 and also is provided with the pair of delivery/carrying rollers 24 for upwardly leading a printing plate carried into the developing tank 21 and the pair of receiving/carrying rollers 33 that is disposed at the inlet of the prerinsing tank 31 and used for introducing the printing plate led by the pair of rollers 24 into the prerinsing tank 31. In this processor, the front end of the printing plate is brought into contact with the pair of rollers 33 at the position of a part of the upper roller surface located in the region above the liquid accumulation region where both the upper and lower rollers of the pair of rollers 33 are allowed to contact with and to press on each other. |
