PURPOSE: To provide a device for probing a rock layer by acoustic wave, which can be used in conjunction with the continuous digging of a tunnel boring machine(TBM). CONSTITUTION: A transmitter device 4a for transmitting the sound, and a receiver unit 4b for receiving the sound are attached to a front plate 5 of a cutter wheel 6 of a tunnel boring machine. This is particularly effective when the uncontrollable water inflow is found, when a poor ground of which a layer can not be directly accessed, is dug, or the perforating or opening is performed for installing the transmitter and the receiver. |
