PURPOSE: To provide a method for improving the quality of display (print) pattern formed from pixels. CONSTITUTION: First of all, an original pixel pattern is stored in a bit-mapped memory 12. The small block of bit-mapped pattern (input tile) is operated as the index of look-up table 18 including a corrected pixel pattern section (output tile) corresponding to the target pixel to be corrected in the input tile. This process can be performed by using an algorithm as well. In order to provide the output tile, a high resolution bit map is prepared from the input tile. In the high resolution bit map, the triangular part of protruded corner is cut, the triangular part of recessed corner is embedded and next, the result is filtered by using a low-pass filter. Afterwards, the central part of high resolution bit map corresponding to the target pixel is divided into a lot of pixel areas. Further, the numeral of threshold value is compared with pixels in the respective areas. |
