METHOD FOR RESTRICTING INCOMING CONFLUENCE NOISE IN BI-DIRECTIONAL CATV SYSTEM AND REPEATING AMPLIFIER USED FOR IT

PURPOSE:To obtain an incoming confluence noise restricting method and a repeating amplifier whereby confluence noise is restricted without damaging in-house bi-directional service and the ratio of a signal to noise is not deteriorated. CONSTITUTION:An incoming signal level from the terminal equipment of a subscriber's house 6 to the repeating amplifier 1 in a bi-directional CATV system is made to be higher than the standard force level of the repeating amplifier 1 and the incoming signal level is decayed in the repeating amplifier 1 so as to be outputted. An attenuator 5 is provided at the output side of the incoming branch and distribution amplifier circuit 3 of the repeating amplifier 1 and the attenuator 5 is provided without providing an incoming branch and distribution amplifier circuit 3 in the repeating amplifier 1.
