<p>PURPOSE:To obtain polyester resin for a toner having satisfactory low-temp. fixability, anti-offsetting property and blocking resistance and excellent in electrical characteristics by blending an arom. dicarboxylic acid component, etc., by a specified percentage each of the total amt. of all carboxylic acid components in polyester. CONSTITUTION:This polyester resin for a toner is polyester contg. >=60mol% arom. dicarboxylic acid component basing on the total amt. of all carboxylic acid components in the polyester, 0.5-50mol% polyol component other than diol, 20-80mol% arom. diol component represented by the formula and 0.5-40mol% monocarboxylic acid component. This polyester resin has 50-70 deg.C glass transition temp., 90-170 deg.C softening temp. and 0.5-3mgKOH/g acid value. In the formula, R is <=3C alkylene and (x) and (y) are numbers satisfying 2<=x+y<=7.</p> |
