PURPOSE:To obtain an electrolytic capacitor excellent in the frequency characteristics and loss characteristics by forming a conductor layer or layers on the surface of one or both of an anode foil, where a dielectric oxide film is deposited on a valve metal, and a cathode foil deposited with no oxide, rolling up or laminating both electrode foils through a conductive separator, and then impregnating the electrode foils with electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A conductor layer 4 is formed through electrolytic polymerization reaction on one or both of an anode foil 1, where a dielectric oxide 3 is deposited on a valve metal, and a cathode foil 2 deposited with no dielectric oxide 3. The anode and cathode foils 1, 2 are then opposed each other through a conductive separator 6 formed by impregnating a low density capacitor paper with an aqueous solution of KMnO4 and a pyrrole monomer solution and impregnated with an electrolyte 5 under low pressure before being applied with a coating. This method produces an electrolytic capacitor excellent in frequency characteristics and loss characteristics. |
