The system has lighting unit (4) designed to produce a beam (5) which illuminates an inspection zone (Z) of the object. An optical element (11), including a passage (12) for the beam, is placed between the source (4) and the object (2). A receiver (15) is provided for the reflected beams (7, 9), and an analyser (16) determines if there is or is not a fault in the object. The lighting unit has means designed to illuminate the interior wall (21) of the object, limited to the inspection zone (Z). The optical element (11) consists of a translucid and diffusing plate which creates at least a luminous mark (14) from the reflected beams. The receiver (15) is designed to view the whole of the plate (11) assembly. The analysing unit (16) consists of an image processing system, including a circuit (27) which measures the characteristics of the luminous mark (14) appearing on the plate (11), so as to evaluate if it corresponds to a fault or not. |
