PURPOSE:To effectively clean a surface of a tool with a grindstone in a short time. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus for cleaning an electronic component manufacturer mounting tool comprises a grindstone 10 having a V-shaped sharp edge for cleaning a surface of a tool 3 in contact with the surface of the tool 3, a grindstone support base 11 for supporting the grindstone 10, and an X-Y table 12 for relatively reciprocatingly moving the tool 3 and the base 11 to rub a surface of the tool 3 with the edge of the grindstone 10. A ridge for forming the edge of the grindstone 10 is intersected in a direction of the reciprocating motion. The base 11 has a movable arm 15 for so vertically moving the edge of the grindstone 10 as to ride on the surface of the tool 3.
