PURPOSE:To make a user easy to grasp the logical structure of a document by displaying respective constitution elements in the logic structure of the document and the connection in a document processor managing the document with the logical structure. CONSTITUTION:Since the respective constitution elements forming the structure of the document and their connection are displayed in a tree form, the user can easily grasp the logical structure of the document. The respective constitution elements have information for specifying the constitution elements connected to their high-order side or the low-order side. A 'chapter' has, for instance, information for connecting an 'essay' to its high-order side and three 'clauses' to its low-order side. When the editing operation of the insertion/elimination and shift of logical constitution in logical structure is executed on a logical structure editor 22, connection information of the respective constitution elements is updated. |
