<p>PURPOSE:To provide a machine translation device where the recognition of the content of a non-translated word is easy especially in translation among multiple languages. CONSTITUTION:A translation dictionary 40 holds translated words among multiple languages. A dictionary retrieval part 25 retrieves a translated word from the translation dictionary 40. When the translated word of a target language cannot be detected, an alternate language belonging to the same language group as the target language is selected from a language group dictionary 50 and a translated word of the alternate language is extracted as the non-translated word. A translated word additional processing part 23 and a generation processing part 24 generate a translated sentence based on the translated word of the target language and the non-translated word. The language type identification mark of the alternate language is added to the non-translated word in the translated sentence. An output part 70 displays the translated sentence including the non-translated word and the language type identification mark, which are shown in the alternate language.</p> |
