PURPOSE: To provide a crimp tool having simplified die wheel rotation preventive mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A crimp tool 10 includes a pair of handles 12, 14, a crimping jaw-like member 34, dies and/or die inserts aligned with each other so as to receive a connector, and link mechanism 16 for connecting the handles 12, 14 to each other. A die wheel 30 provided with a plurality of dies of different sizes and shape is arranged at the front end of the handle 12 and adjusted to the action face of the crimping jaw-like member 34 secured to the front end of the handle 14. The die wheel 30 has a plurality of passages 54. A cavity is formed in the handle 12, and a ball 56 is arranged therein. A strap 58 formed of spring steel is secured to the handle 12 to impart energizing force to the ball 56. When the die wheel 30 is index-fed to put the specific die in an operating state, the strap 58 protrudes the ball 56 into one of the passages 54 so as to function as rotation preventive purpose for holding the die wheel 30 in the index-fed position. |
