<p>PURPOSE: To reduce manufacturing cost and simplify design and manufacture by providing a housing, formed of two members, with an electrical connecting part arranged striding over both members, and mounting a mounting part of a housing member for connecting both members, to a printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION: A housing 14 of a connector 10 is formed of a first member 20 and a second member 22, and electrical connecting parts 16 are fixedly mounted to connecting part receiving grooves 26 of the member 20. A spring connecting part of the connecting part 16 is extended into a card edge receiving part 24, and a rear end part is bent by 90 deg. so as to pass through a hole part of the member 22 and to be arranged at a connecting hole part 64 of a master board 12. A holding part 18 is formed of metal member so as to connect the members 20, 22 fixedly to each other and to connect the housing 14 fixedly to the board 12. One member performs two functions, and the housing is formed of two parts so as to reduce manufacturing cost and to simplify design and manufacture of the connector 10.</p> |
