PURPOSE: To provide a method and device by which a fiber sheet can be assembled for connecting the fiber sheet to integrated optical parts. CONSTITUTION: A liquid adhesive 9 is deposited in a plurality of linear grooves 6i , formed in parallel with each other at regular intervals on a flat surface and the bared end sections 1i of fibers in a fiber sheet are respectively held in the grooves 6i , by means of a plate 13 fixed to the grooves 6i . Since the adhesive 9 is maintained in a liquid state, the aggregate of the end sections 1i of the fibers extending from the grooves 6i are press-contacted with the opposite flat part 13' of the plate 13 extending from a substrate 5, and the press-contacting pressure is maintained until the adhesive 9 cures and the plate 13 is stuck. |
