PURPOSE: To provide an ATM cell re-arrangement device which allows cells from different flows to simultaneously exist in a node. CONSTITUTION: The ATM cell re-arrangement device in an optical ATM switching node is connected to each input line Fe of the node and includes a means RIC which discriminates the start of a cell, a means VE which calculates a time shift between a cell and a reference time and generates an error signal ER dependent upon this time difference, and a means LR which is driven by the error signal ER and compensates the time difference. The time difference compensation means LR includes a logarithmic-functional optical delay line, and his delay line is connected to the upstream side of the means RIC, which discriminates the start of a cell, and the means VE which calculate the time difference. |
