A horticultural plant stand 1 comprises: a plurality of substantially horizontal beams 2 displaced vertically from one another above a surface on which the plant stand is adapted to stand. At least two supports 3a, 3b are provided between which the substantially horizontal beams 2 extend with at least one of said supports 3a, 3b being inclined to the surface.
