The device consists of a water tank (1) with a used water inlet (2), and a mains water inlet (5). The tank also has an outlet (7) for service water, and a drainage system. This drains the tank completely, and then partially refills it with mains water. The systems is set to execute this process, when a set period after the last used water extraction has elapsed.A control system (18) contains a time switch to trigger the drainage process. The switch is reset after each water extraction from the tank. The tank has an overflow (14) with siphon trap (15).
