Organic matter, such as biological waste, is composted in a closed container (1). The waste gas is purified in a waste gas purification system (2). In order to improve the degree of purification, the condensate from the waste gas purification system (2) is fed into a high-performance bioreactor (4) where it is charged with oxygen from the air and agitated. The suspension from the bioreactor is circulated through an ultra-filtration unit.
