The sealing profile has a U-shaped cross-section and fits on a holding flange with the window pane edge held between the arms of the profile. The arm (1') of the profile (1) on the outside of the vehicle has a thickened cross-sectional area (8) over its height whereby the rain channel (10) is formed on the top side of this thickened area facing the vehicle roof.A supporting projection (11) which resiliently adjoins an inner lining part (12) protrudes from the arm (1'') of the profile on the inside of the vehicle.
