A food wrapping sheet or film which is made from a thermoplastic resin containing 3-30 wt.% of a siliceous substance and a noncrystalline mineral such as TiO2, Al2CO3, MgO, Zr2O3, Fe2O3 or amorphous material, and is used to function as an amorphous semiconductor so as to induce amorphous phenomena such as resistance effect, energetic activation, reducing effect or antioxidizing film effect, thus forming an antioxidizing film and effecting high-tech food quality preservation mainly comprising the prevention of oxidation with a high barrier function. The invention thus provides food wrapping materials having a long-lasting function of preventing oxidation and putrefaction by applying a noncrystalline catalytic function of random system physics entirely different from prior-art technologies.
