摘要 In a process and device for continuous centrifugal extraction two liquid phases (L, T) of different densities are passed in countercurrent relation through an extraction vessel (11) rotating about a centrifuge rotor axis (C). Each of the liquid phases (L, T) is caused to flow circumferentially about the centrifuge rotor axis (C) from one end to the other of a circumferentially elongate extraction chamber (16) in the extraction vessel (11). The two liquid phases (L, T) are brought together in a constricted passageway (22) intermediate the ends of the extraction chamber (16). Flow guide means (11e, 11f, 11g) defining the constricted passageway (22) impart to each phase in the passageway a motion having a radial component, said radial component of the motion of the phase (L) of the lower density being directed away from the centrifuge axis (C) and said radial component of the motion of the phase (T) of the higher density being directed towards the centrifuge axis (C).
