<p>A method and apparatus for electrolytically treating a liquid, such as an aqueous-based solution, to cause impurities in the liquid to coagulate or otherwise precipitate from the liquid. The apparatus includes conductive conduits (12, 14) and first and second electrodes (18, 20) in spaced apart relationship. The liquid passes through at least one of the conductive conduits (12, 14) and then through an electric field established between the electrodes (18, 20). The liquid is then treated to remove solids therefrom, such as by a filter (24).</p> |
