An arrangement of a drive unit in a vehicle comprises at least one electric drive motor, a fuel-cell, a reformer and a fuel tank and is designed to enable a fuel-cell system to be assembled in a conventional road vehicle by utilising the available design space, and has the reformer (16) and the fuel cell (15) designed as separate components, which are arranged in different regions of the vehicle i.e the reformer (16) is mounted in the back of the vehicle, and the fuel-cell in the middle part of the vehicle.
