PURPOSE:To surely prevent copying sheets from being overlappingly fed, by providing such an arrangement that a preceding copying sheet fed from a copying sheet receiving bed and the next copying sheet on the receiving bed are not fed in a partly overlapping condition. CONSTITUTION:A feed roller 50 is turned into an inoperative condition from an operative condition after the leading end of a copying sheet fed from a copying sheet receiving bed 48 passes through a nip section between a conveying roller 88 and a friction member, until the trailing end of the sheet leaves the feed roller 50. Further, this inoperative condition is sustained until the next copying sheet is initiated to be fed, after the trailing end of the sheet passes through the nip section between the conveying roller 88 and the friction member. As a result, it is possible to surely prevent the sheets from being conveyed to an overlap-feed preventing mechanism 25 in such a condition that the trailing end of the preceding copying sheet overlaps with the leading end of the next copying sheet. |
