The device has a reception system (3) receiving the previously employed printing form (A), after releasing its opposing ends from the clamping groove (11) in the surface of the printing cylinder (1) and a delivery system (2) for supplying the new printing form (B) to the printing cylinder. Pivoted retaining devices (9) temporarily acts against part of the new printing form, causing it to be deformed for fitting its leading end into the clamping groove in the printing cylinder. Pref the pivot plane (7) of the retaining devices is adjustable via remote-controlled setting devices (4, 5).
