A strand granulating appts. (1) has an intake device (4) for gripping and feeding the strand to the counter-blade (3) of a cooperating cutter roll (2). The cutter roll (2) and the intake device (4) are driven by a motor (11) which is located alongside the appts. housing (6-9) and which is connected by a drive shaft (13) to the rotating components (2,4) within the housing. The motor (11) and the housing are fixed on a common support (16) by two fasteners located in the projection on the support (16) in the region of the two housing sides (8,9) at the sides of the drive shaft (13) such that, as a result of the torque introduced into the housing, one fastener (tension clamp 17,18) is subjected to a pulling force away from the support (16) and the other fastener (press clamp 19,20) is subjected to a pressing force onto the support (16). The tension clamp (17,18) loosely hooks the housing to the support, while the press clamp (19,20) acts as a stop preventing housing movement away from the tension clamp (17,18). <IMAGE> |
