<p>The firing device for a propulsive charge (5) contains inside a shell (2) consists of a tubular case (12) that can slide inside a tubular guidance skirt (9) attached to the shell (1). The case (12) contains an explosive mixture (25) that will propel the projectile (15). The front end of the case is closed by being held to the back part (16) of the projectile (15) by a connection (20) eg an elastic ring held in grooves. When the explosive mixture (25) ignites, the projectile and therefore the case (12) is pushed out until the shoulder (14) butts up against the collar (11) then the pressure of the combustion gases increase until the connection (20) ruptures which allows the second stage of ignition to take place. <IMAGE></p> |
