The parking tickets each contain an electronically stored identification number and a transmitter for sending signals corresponding to the identification number. A communicator (11), connected to a central computer (10) via a data line (27) is provided at each parking space (2). The communicator receives the transmitted signals from the parking ticket. The communicator signals the identification number on the occupation of and/or leaving of the parking space by a vehicle to the central computer to enable the exit of the vehicle after first testing the identification number.
