Invention relates to a sealing device (3) in a nuclear reactor with a graphite inhibitor. The nuclear reactor, made of numerous fuel channels, is cooled by light water, and every channel (1) on the top surrounds a plug (2). Between the mentioned plug and fuel channel (1) there is a space (4) and on the inner side of the fuel channel (1) and the outside of the plug (2) there are relevant sealing surfaces. The sealing device (3) is installed in the space (4) between the surfaces (14, 15) and may consist of one of more ring bodies put in an axle direction one after another directly contacting them. Each body is plastically deformed in order to transform an axial force received by the plug into a radial sealing pressure, achieving this way, the sealing effect of the sealing device (3). Besides at least the sealing device part that is against the surfaces (14, 15) to be sealed is monolithic, i.e. made of the same material. Such a structure of the sealing device allows for the improvement of the sealing effect and prevents the sealing effect deterioration after a certain time of the opening and closure of the plug while the changing fuel elements. |
