MECHANISM FOR WIELDING PIANO PEDAL BY ADDITIONAL PEDAL

Invention applies to the manufacturing of stringed instruments, namely to the forte-piano pedal mechanisms. The forte-piano pedal which is controlled through an extra pedal mechanism ensures proper forte-piano playing conditions for a small pianist. The mechanism consists of an extra pedal (1), at the one end of which there is rigidly fixed axle (2) with holders (3) on both axle ends. The holders fastened to the top of the bench (5), for example, by wood screws (4). The other end of the extra pedal (1) is joined to the upper end of a screw pivot (6). A nut (7) and a cylinder (8) are screwed onto a pivot (6). The pivot (8) is passed through a bench (5) hole (9). Diameter of the hole (9) is larger then the pivot (6) diameter. The lower end of the pivot is connected to a felt (11) or any other soft material covered sole (10). The sole props up the forte-pianos (12) pedal (13). To increase the mechanisms sensitivity there is a spring (14) connected to the extra pedal (1) and bench (5). The cylinder (8) height is no higher than half of the pivot (6). Angle α between the pivot's longitudinal axis and vertical axis is 5-10 degrees.
