a delay portion for inputting an amplified luminance signal and for selectively delaying for a predetermined time the input signal; a sharpness portion having a plurality of differential amplifiers which amplifies a difference voltage between the luminance signals supplied to first and second signal input terminals and generate a peaking signal in response to a sharpness adjusting input signal and a contrast adjusting input signal; a brightness portion for receiving the output signal of the sharpness portion to adjust a pedestal level of the luminance signal; and a luminance signal inverse output portion for outputting an inverted signal of the luminance signal inputted in correspondence with a horizontal blanking signal and a vertical blanking signal.
