PURPOSE:To produce a microwave dielectric porcelain composition in which epsilonr is maintained at a practical high level, Qu and others are controlled in a wide range to balance each property at a practical level, and to provide a method for producing it by sintering it at a relatively low temp. and at a temp. in wide range. CONSTITUTION:A composition in which <=5wt.% (not including 0wt.%) of V2O5 and <=2wt.% (not including 0wt.%) of PbO are added to 100wt.% of a main component represented by Bi(NbxTa1-x)O4 (where 0<x<=0.96) is produced by sintering powder of each oxide as a raw material at 850-950 deg.C. When x is 0.6, the added quantity of V2O5 is 0.4 pts.wt., and the added quantity of PbO is 0.2 pts.wt., an excellent balance in performance as such that epsilonr is 42.05-45.36, Qu is 1378-1528, and tauf is -36.18 to -42.10ppm/ deg.C is attained. |
