SEWAGE TREATMENT APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To provide a sewage treatment apparatus using a hollow yarn membrane module and capable of performing stable treatment at the time of the washing of a hollow yarn membrane while preventing the damage to breakage of the membrane and capable of still more enhancing treatment capacity. CONSTITUTION:A suction pump 4 and a blower 5 are operated while sewage to be treated is supplied to an aeration tank 3 having a hollow yarn membrane module 2 arranged thereto from a raw water supply pipeline 1 and the filtered water (or transmitted water) transmitted through the hollow yarn membranes 6 of the hollow yarn membrane module 2 is sent to the water gathering head 7 of the module 2 and also drawn out of the aeration tank 3 through a filtered water drawing-out pipeline 8. During this treatment, compressed air is ejected from the air diffusion pipe 9 constituted in a grid form arranged on the upstream side of the water gathering header 7 to effectively wash the hollow yarn membranes.
