摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a polyethylene naphthalate film drastically excellent in slitting properties by using polyester based on ethylene-2,6-naphthalate to set the relation between modulus elasticity and elongation at break to a range incapable of being achieved by a conventional polyethylene naphthalate film by a special lateral stretching method. CONSTITUTION:A polyethylene naphthalate film is composed of polyester containing 85mol% or more of ethylene-2,6-naphthalate as a repeating unit and characterized by that elastic modulus A in a lateral direction is 1000-2000kg/mm<2> and the product AB of A and elongation B (%) at break is 38000-100000.
