RECOMBINANT VECTOR, TRANSFORMANT HOLDING THE SAME RECOMBINANT VECTOR AND PRODUCTION OF ANTIMICROBIAL PEPTIDE BY THE SAME TRANSFORMANT

PURPOSE:To obtain a recombinant vector useful for readily supplying a large amount of an antimicrobial peptide (lactoferritin) having a strong antimicrobial activity. CONSTITUTION:This is a recombinant vector in which a DNA sequence coding for at least an amino acid sequence of the formula ysAX01X01X01Trp Gln X01X01 Met X02X02 (X01 is L-Ala L-Arg, etc.; X02 is L-Arg or L-Lys) is inserted and bonded to a vector, e.g. a recombinant vector p-GEXLF in which an amino acid sequence Lys Cys Phe Gln Trp Gln Arg Asn Met Arg Lys is inserted and bonded to the downstream of a colibacillus-based vector pGEX2 Tetac promoter sequence. An exemplified vector is obtained according to the scheme shown in the figure.
