PURPOSE:To obtain a nonwoven fabric, comprising ultrafine antistatic network structural fibers having a high fiber strength and durable antistatic performances and provide a method for producing the nonwoven fabric. CONSTITUTION:This nonwoven fabric comprises mixed fibers composed of at least an olefin-based polymer and a block copolyester containing a polyalkylene oxide component and has 1-35wt.% content of the polyalkylene oxide component in the constituent fibers and a three-dimensional network structure. A web of the fibers is partially heat-bonded and comprises extremely highly fibrillated fibers unfound in a conventional nonwoven fabric. Since the resultant nonwoven fabric is excellent in antistatic performances and has a high strength and dyeability, it is developed into uses such as clothes, medical clothes, protecting clothes, curtains, table cloths, masks, wipers, filters or house wraps. |
