PURPOSE:To provide a foldable packing made of a corrugated fiberboard, which can be built up from one sheet of corrugated fiberboard, and the cushioning caracteristics for respective areas of which can be easily adjusted to cope with the nature of an article to be packed, and which can replace a conventional packing made of expanded styrene. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated fiberboard consists of a main body piece which is built up into a gutter-shaped packing main body 200A with a U-shaped cross section, and a side end piece which is built up into a gutter-shaped side end packing 200B with a U-shaped cross section. The directions of these both gutters are perpendicular. Then, two stripes for engagement are provided in parallel at locations which interfere with each other in the building up procedures of both packings. On one surface of a packing 200 made of the corrugated fiberboard, which is built up into an approx. rectangular parallelopiped shape, an article-supporting recessed part S being equipped with an intermediate shelf 9 is formed. At appropriate locations of the corrugated fiberboard, notches for cushioning and notched article-supporting recessed parts for gap forming, etc., are provided. |
