PURPOSE:To provide a surgical instrument allowing a surgical action means to be rotated in relation to an operating part by providing the operating part with a handle part for operating the surgical action means, a rotatory-operating part for rotating the surgical action means in relation to the operating part, and a channel operating part for performing observation and treatment. CONSTITUTION:The base end side of an instrument body 2 is provided with an operating part 8 for remote-operating the opening/closing and rotation, etc., of a surgical action means. The operating part 8 is provided with an operating part body 81, a handle part 82 for operating the surgical action means 4, a rotatory-operating part 87 for rotating the surgical action means 4 together with the instrument body 2 in relation to the operating part 8, and a channel operating part 92 for performing observation and treatment through a channel means. In this surgical instrument, the surgical action means 4 can be rotated without rotating the instrument body 2. Accordingly, even in the case of the surgical instrument being inserted directly piercing the tissues of a living body, torsion and twitch caused by friction between the outer peripheral surface of the instrument body 2 and the tissues of the living body are not generated. |
