<p>PURPOSE:To provide a putter with which top spin can be easily loaded to a golf ball by protruding a face plane equipped with any specified height in a hitting direction at the position of the same height as the gravity of the head of the putter. CONSTITUTION:A face plane 2 of a putter head 1 is formed while being protruded toward the hitting direction so that a vertical length (h) can be almost half as long as a height H of the entire head. On the other hand, the width of the head 1 is set a little shorter than the length of the head 1, and the face plane is formed so that gravity G of the head 1 can be positioned on a horizontal plane passing through the face plane 2. Then, a sole part 5 of the head 1 is tapered in the breadthwise and lengthwise directions of the head 1 so that its lower side can be projected and further, an upper part 6 of the head is tapered in the breadthwise direction so that its upper side can be projected. Such a putter head is formed by sandwiching planar metal with plate members composed of any materials such as synthetic resin or woods which specific gravity is light.</p> |
