PURPOSE:To provide a transmission belt, which has a high transmission capability, the running life of which is elongated by improving the resistance to flexing and the mechanical strength of which is enhanced, and its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION:Transmission belt has a belt main body 1 made of thermoplastic elastomer and fibrous reinforcing material 2 made of liquid crystal polymer, which is dispersed in the belt main body 1 under the state being orientated to the longitudinal direction of the belt main body 1. The dispersion density of the fibrous reinforcing material 2 existing in the central side in the direction of the thickness of the belt main body 1 is higher than that of the fibrous reinforcing material 2 existing outside. |
