Alternating films consisting of alternations of high refractive index films and low refractive index films are provided on a transparent substrate such that the high refractive index film is adjacent to the substrate. The low refractive index films are composed of Al2O3. The high refractive index films are composed of at least a component selected from a group consisting of TiO2, Ta2O5, HfO2, ZrO2, Nb2O5, mixture thereof and modified substances thereof.
