PURPOSE:To enable rewriting recording without leaving image data not erased by providing an image data recording means heating the rewriting region of a reversible recording medium to color forming temp. higher than the temp. of a color re-developing process wherein image data is erased. CONSTITUTION:When the temp. of the hot stamp 7 of a memory device 5 is about 115 deg.C or less (A-region), the image density of a display part is not changed at all and a recording image is not erased. When the temp. of the hot stamp is about 115-130 deg.C (B-region), the image density of the display part gradually lowers as the temp. of the hot stamp becomes high and the image data is gradually erased but the image is left without being erased until the image density becomes background density. When the display part is heated to hot stamp temp. of about 130 deg.C, the image data of the display part is perfectly erased (C-region within a two-dot broken line) to obtain a perfectly erased state wherein image density reaches background density. |
