The acryloyloxy ethylbentyl dimethyl ammonium chloride(BDMAEA) solution is produced by reacting a dimethyl aminoethyl acrylate(DMAEA) with a benzyl chloride and a (methyl) hydroquinone as a polymerization inhibitor in water in the presence of a benzyl triethyl ammonium chloride as a phase transition catalyst at room temp. In example, The BDMAEA solution is produced by reacting 14.33g DMAEA and 0.08g methyl hydroquinone with 6.75g pure water in the presence of 0.1g benzyl triethyl ammonium chloride, and reacting the reactant with 12.66g benzyl chloride at 20-25 deg. C for 30min. The BDMAEA solution is used as an intermediator of a cation polymer flocculating agent for waste water treatment.
