<p>PURPOSE:To obtain good compost by a method in which organic substances containing a large amount of water are placed in a treatment tank equipped with a rotary blade, subjected to aerobic fermentation while being strongly agitated and broken, and dehydrated and dried by extracting generated gas and water vapor outside the treatment tank. CONSTITUTION:Organic substances containing a large amount of water are fed into a garbage treatment tank 1 which is equipped with an agitating blade 3 and a pulsator 4 and surrounded by a heating medium 8 and kept at temperatures between a room temperature and 60 deg.C while being heated, agitated, and broken for 1-3hr with air supplied. In this way, the organic substances are made slurry, subjected to aerobic fermentation, and dehydrated and dried to a water content of 65% or less by extracting generated gas and water vapor outside the tank 1. The fermentation product is decomposed thermally by being kept at 60-100 deg.C for 1-6hr for dehydration and drying to the water content of 45% or less by extracting generated gas and water vapor outside the tank 1. The product is further heated for sterilization, dehydration, and drying.</p> |
