PURPOSE:To eliminate worker's labor and prevent damage to a pipe by providing a holder which is formed in such a way that its basic section matches the shape of an outer face of the pipe and moves in parallel with the outer face of the pipe and a grinding tool which moves while being supported by the holder and performs grinding along the outer face of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:An air motor 5 is set at a tip of a holder 6, and an air hose is connected with a rear end of the air motor 5. An arc-shaped plate 7 in a basic section of the holder 6 is brought into contact with, for example, an outer peripheral face of a boiler furnace wall tube 1. Next, a cutter 10 is inserted into a tip of the air motor 5 to determine the position of the cutter 10 in accordance with distance a between the boiler furnace wall tube 1 and the tip of the holder 6 and then fix it by a screw 11. Next, when the air motor 5 is rotated, the cutter 10 rotates and grinds welded metal 3 by moving the holder 6 little by little downward and in the circumferential direction of the boiler furnace wall tube 1. |
