PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of an outer diameter of a ring after forming, to prevent the development of under-fill at a part of the cross section of the ring and to enable the formation of the complicate cross sectional shaped ring having the rugged cross sectional shape on the outer peripheral surface by using a divided die. CONSTITUTION:A die holding disk 9 for fitting and holding the divided die 15 for insert-press-forging the outer peripheral surface of a ring blank W, to the rotating center is arranged so as to be freely shifted in the horizontal direction and freely rotated. A mandrel 12 for insert-press-forging the inner peripheral side surface of the ring blank W is arranged so as to be freely ascended/ descended and freely rotated. An inner die 12a for pressurize-forming the inner peripheral side surface of the ring blank W to a prescribed cross sectional shape is formed on the round outer peripheral side surface of the mandrel 12. Further, die dividing mechanism 20 dividing and joining the divided die 15 is arranged.
