PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device having an air bag with a high degree of freedom which can be freely folded down while maintaining heat resistant protective strength in use of metal. CONSTITUTION:A heat resistant part protecting an air bag 1 from a harmful effect due to high temperature gas from an inflator 6 is arranged in the air bag 1 in an air bag device. The heat resistant part is formed of a heat resistant member mixed with metallic powder or a heat resistance member in which metallic powder is fixed on the surface of rubber or synthetic resin.
