PURPOSE: To reduce vibration and noise and to easily adjust stitches in a wide range by providing a timing belt for driving an upper surface puller device, an improved clutch mechanism and a drive link assembly suitable to various stitch lengths. CONSTITUTION: A puller housing 40 is connected through a supporting plate 41 to the upper surface of a sewing machine housing. Then, a puller shaft 42 is supported freely rotatably by a bearing 37 inside the puller housing 40, a driven sprocket 44 is mounted to one end of it and a crank head 48 is mounted to the other end, respectively. Also, to the groove 50 of the crank head 48, the head 52 of a crank pin 54 is freely slidably inserted. Further, a ball bearing 82 at one end of a connection bar assembly 80 is freely slidably fixed to the crank pin 54. In the meantime, a ball joint 84 at the other end of the connection bar assembly 80 is fixed to the ball member 65 of a clutch drive housing. |
